Indian Temple Donates $25,000 to Help Finance Students’ Education

The well deserving and highly capable Indian students, who genuinely required financial help to meet up the requirements of their educational expenses, recently received a cash boost.

This for sure is good news as a large number of students cannot afford a private tutor in Singapore, let alone enter a top notch school.

Recently, a bursary award ceremony was organized in Singapore, where the Indian self-help group and the Singapore Indian Education Trust were granted $25,000 from the Sri Thendayuthapani Temple.

The exceptionally brilliant students were awarded with the bursaries by the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Vivian Balakrishnan.

About the Temple

Sri Thendayuthapani Temple, constitutes one of the several community partners, who have consistently helped the Indian students to avail the best opportunities in education. Assistance normally comes in the form of financial aid.

Categories of Awards

There were typically three categories of awards, namely Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Category. The students in the Primary category received an amount of $300, while the Secondary category students received a sum of $400 and the ones belonging to the Tertiary category received a sum of $500 each.
